Amongst Liars – By Design

Directly from the United Kingdom, AMONGST LIARS is preparing to release their second studio album titled “Design,” set to be released on July 4, 2024, by Earache Records.

After their self-titled debut album, released in 2022, received great reviews from both the public and the specialized press, the band, formed in mid-2020, is back with the same intensity, energy, and attitude that catapulted them in their debut album. Featuring a modern, bold sound that masterfully blends alternative rock with other genres like grunge and punk, it’s easy to be captivated by the atmosphere and overwhelming identity the Brits insert into “Design.” Songs like “You Are Not a Slave” demonstrate the quintet’s sonic cohesion and solidity, not coincidentally being the band’s first single.

“This song comes from a recent experience where I was subjected to passive-aggressive and toxic behavior in a work environment, which really affected my psyche – but in the end, I wasn’t prepared to accept it.”

Other highlights include “By Design,” featuring singer Felin, “The Shameful,” with a fierce weight, and “Vice,” which has all the makings of the next single with a powerful, catchy chorus that sticks in your mind. AMONGST LIARS‘ second work features eleven well-produced tracks, with inspired musicians who thought through the smallest details to deliver a mature, cohesive work that certainly marks the consolidation of one of the most interesting bands in the United Kingdom.
