TSS have been making waves in the metal scene with their unique blend of emo, metalcore, alternative rock, and synthwave. Founded in 2016 by Kirby, the band quickly solidified their lineup with John on guitar and vocals and Hugo on drums.
Their new single “Something in the Way” is a powerful track that showcases the band’s ability to craft a song that’s both heavy and melodic. The song features a mix of sung and screamed vocals, crushing riffs, and a liberal use of synths, building up to an explosive ending.
According to the band, “Something in the Way” tells the story of a protagonist who witnesses a loved one’s descent into depression. The track’s intense energy is reflective of the torment conveyed in the lyrics.
TSS have come a long way since their formation in 2016. They’ve released a string of successful singles, including “The Wrong Way”, “Lost In The Crowd”, and “Someone”, which have helped establish them as a rising force in the French music scene.
In 2019, they released their self-titled debut EP, followed by the album “REGRETS” in collaboration with Warner Music and TF1. The band rebranded to TSS in 2021 and have since released several well-received singles, including “1996”, “Tes Pleurs”, and “Fantasize”.
