Death Metalcore Band Veiled is due to release their new debut album, ‘Se//ct’ into the universe on the 18th of October 2024. Se//ect is the debut first full-length from the Leeds Metal band via Seek & Strike. The follow-up album to last year’s ‘Black Rite’.

The haunting story that this album is leading us down gives us bone-chilling thoughts that our left to play through our heads while the dramatic dark notes and tones give us that chilling tales make us question our sanity and views on what is about to proceed before us during the album.

The fast pace of this album is accompanied by an eerily muffled background announcement from West Yorkshire Police informing us of horrific events and building up the suspense and terror of the world we have been put in. “No One Is Safe, Anyone Can Be Had” is strongly informed to us, Before we are thrown into extreme soul-taking guitar solos and heavy breakdowns with the listener being thrown into a headspin of a spiral of the unknowing and heavy growls and clean vocals walking us into a sense of false security before another hard Breakdown of a musical ensemble.

The out-of-body horror experience this album takes us down only continues when we are walked through to another unexpected scene of something is about to happen and take control of us. A feeling that we are being captured and losing control of ourselves questioning if we wish to continue to live or die after finally performing the ritual to meet our leader but only if we are willing to give ourselves up to finally be a part of this dark new creative story that we have been captured into.

The ‘SE//CT’ is a breathtaking creative artwork in a music storytelling format. The carefully selected clean-cut/rough-edged sounds of each chapter of these songs form a tale that puts the audience on the uncomfortable edge of the unknowing and demonic holds. The deathcore sounds are one of many styles that can be found within this album alongside a varied range, giving the album its perfect range of new and older fans. The extreme talent that Veiled has produced on this album is a huge door-opener for the Leeds band which will only lead them to produce more and more breathtaking opportunities.
