Camden Town has long been a mecca for alternative music in the UK, making it the perfect stage for Kamelot?s triumphant return. With a powerful lineup featuring Frozen Crown, Blackbriar, and Ad Infinitum, The Forum was set for an unforgettable night of Power Metal.
Frozen Crown
Kicking off the evening was Frozen Crown, an energetic and thrilling act that captivated the crowd right from the start. With angelic harmonies, commanding vocals, and engaging audience interaction, the band set a vibrant tone for the night. As the set powered on, fans became increasingly engrossed, and by the final note, it was clear they had gained a whole room of new admirers.
Blackbriar
Next up was Blackbriar. Drummer Ren Boxem addressed the crowd, explaining that the set might be shortened as the band had been unwell, even cutting their previous performance short. However, he assured the London audience they would give it their all, and the fans responded with enthusiastic support. What followed was a powerful, moving performance that left everyone in awe. If this was what they could achieve while not at full strength, the potential for Blackbriar seems boundless.
Ad Infinitum
Following them, Ad Infinitum took the stage and brought a surge of energy that filled the entire room. With charisma, skill, and radiant smiles, they captivated The Forum from start to finish. Blistering guitar solos and soaring vocals created a magnetic performance, and the crowd was particularly drawn to the track ?Abyss? from their latest release, which added a refreshing new flavour to their already dynamic set.
Kamelot
Finally, the moment arrived. The Forum bathed in a deep, crimson blue as Kamelot returned to London for the first time in six years. Opening with ?Veil of Elysium? amidst blasts of smoke, the venue transformed into a unified choir, and within moments, band and crowd merged as one. Sparks, confetti, and adrenaline pulsed through the building, and not a single soul stood still.
Their set was an electric blend of old and new, reigniting the hearts of everyone in attendance. From ?When the Lights Are Down? to ?Sacrimony (Angel of Afterlife)?, each song felt like a shared experience. A rising platform added depth to the performance, while powerful vocals paired with a spectacular stage display fuelled the excitement. The main set closed with a stirring rendition of ?Forever?, but the band returned for an encore of ?One More Flag in the Ground? and ?Liar Liar (Wasteland Monarchy)?, ending the night with a triumphant bang.
After more than half a decade, Kamelot showed they haven?t missed a beat. The crowd was more invested than ever, and their performance was one for the books. Here?s hoping it won?t be another six years before they return.
