Bullet For My Valentine Announces 20th Anniversary Edition of 'The Poison'

British metal band Bullet For My Valentine is celebrating the 20th anniversary of their groundbreaking debut album, ?The Poison?, set to be reissued on November 29th. Originally released in October 2005, the album marked the beginning of a remarkable career for the band, propelling them to the forefront of the metal scene.

The album?s impact was immediate, with Bullet For My Valentine quickly transitioning from supporting acts to headlining major venues within a year. ?The Poison? reached number 21 on the UK album charts and garnered critical acclaim, earning a spot on KERRANG!?s ?Albums Of The Year? list and achieving gold status. Metal Hammer even recognized it as one of ?The Greatest Metal Albums of the Century.?

?I honestly can?t believe it?s been 20 years since the release of The Poison, and what an incredible 20 years it?s been. I feel so proud of what we?ve achieved as a band in the last two decades, and it all started with that debut album.?

To commemorate this milestone, ?The Poison? has been remastered for vinyl and will be available in limited and exclusive editions. The super deluxe box set includes the original album, the Hand of Blood EP, bonus material, and a vinyl release of the band?s 2006 Live at Brixton performance. The set also features new artwork, a coffee table book, prints, a poster, a pin badge, a bandana, and more.

In addition to the reissue, Bullet For My Valentine has confirmed a massive arena tour in collaboration with Trivium, starting in the UK and extending into mainland Europe in January and February 2025.
