Extreme at Rock in Rio Lisboa 2024

At 6 p.m., the most Portuguese North American band ever Extreme take to the World Stage with their fast, intense and precise hard rock!

With Gary Cherone on vocals and Nuno Bettencourt on guitar in the spotlight, the band soon got down to business with "It's a Monster", a song from the band's second album, Pornografitti (1990). From then on it was a riot of riffs, solos and pure charisma from Portuguese-American guitarist Nuno Bettencourt. He started off by pulling on a Benfica cap, which got a lot of the audience going as he played songs like ?Play With Me? and ?Hole Harte (Pornografitti)? but when he swapped the guitar for the acoustic guitar, he declared himself to the Portuguese audience once and for all by strumming the full Portuguese anthem sung by a Rock in Rio already completely full, to prove as he himself said that ?the Portuguese are the best singers in the world?, one of the most exciting moments of this edition of Rock in Rio.
