Volbeat, the Danish rock band consisting of Michael Poulsen (vocals, guitar), Jon Larsen (drums), and Kaspar Boye Larsen (bass), are thrilled to announce their ninth album, ?God of Angels Trust?. The album is set for release on June 6 via Vertigo/Universal.
To coincide with the album announcement, Volbeat have shared a video for their new single, ?By A Monster?s Hand?. The track is a relentless mid-tempo riff assault, blending crushing rhythms with intricate, unpredictable hooks. The video was produced by Ghost Atomic and directed by Adam Rothlein.
For ?God of Angels Trust?, Volbeat threw caution to the wind, ignoring comfort zones and traditional songwriting rules. Poulsen explains, ?I wanted to make a Volbeat record without thinking too much about it. Instead of following any kind of structure, I said, ?Okay, there are no rules. I can do anything I want.'? This approach led to a punchy, crunchy album that?s undeniably Volbeat, yet marches to a fresh new metallic and melodic energy.
?God of Angels Trust? will be available in various formats, including 180g Black LP, ?Grandma?s Wallpaper? LP, ?Lamplight Glow? LP, ?Mystery Color? LP, Glow in the Dark LP, and CD Deluxe Hardcover Book.
