New Years Day ft Conquer Divide and Fearless Vampire Killers at Manchester Academy 3 – 1-2-25

It?s been 9 Years since I had last seen New Years Day and Fearless Vampire Killers perform together at The Manchester Academy. Support comes alongside Conquer Divide for this throwback of an evening. The sold out show is the first uk tour in 5 years for New Years Day and tonight marks the end of what can be seen as a successful tour!

Fearless Vampire Killers

It?s been 9 years since I last shot Fearless Vampire Killers in Manchester and what a blast from the past to see them back performing again! Kicking off with their set ?All Hallows Evil? with shared vocals and rhythm guitar duties from Kier and Laurence. The audience is up clapping and singing along. Fearless Vampire Killer fans can be seen throughout the mix crowd for the evening and it?s nice to see how many fans have gathered together to watch them perform. With ?Keep Smiling? everyone is waving along in the crowd to the perfectly timed music. with Cyrus and Drew down the sides of the small sides and drummer Luke in the middle of the stage it all feels quite tight but is a classic throwback to fans who grew up with Fearless Vampire Killers. Standing at the back of the venue you feel the floor shake during ?Neon In The Dance Halls?. Their short 6 song set is such a beautiful reminder of new and old fans coming together to experience this moment!

Conquer Divide

Having never heard of Conquer Divide before this evening show I was going in blank with an open slate to experience their show live and raw for the first time. They blew me away! The five piece rock/metalcore band from the United States, United Kingdom and Canada got the crowd going. With audience members screaming and singing back word for word of ?Atonement?. Conquer Divide have a fun and strong sound to them. With the stage set up being a tight squeeze in the middle they interact with their audience face on but I could see Conquer Divide taking over masses arenas some day!. With vocals from Kiarely and Spencer blending so well together during ?Paralyzed? with Izzy and Kirsten Both on guitars and Sam on drums, They keep the crowd on their toes rounding off their set with ?welcome2paradise?. Conquer Divide will be going straight to my playlist.

New Years Day

Having last seen New Years Day 9 Years ago and with a long 5 year await to return to the UK New Years Day Hit the sold out Manchester Academy 3 evening! With there Red, Blue and white lighting with the darkness it the perfect colour scheme for the band. Kicking off the loud set with ?Vampyre? it doesn?t feel like they have aged at all stambing, jumping and clapping on stage. You can just feel and hear the excitement of the fans behind you. With Ash Costello powerhouse vocals singing through the set it?s impossible to not fall in love with how perfect her vocal range is. With Tommy Rockoff on drums, Jeremy and Nikki either side of the very clean stage, New Years Day have fun with each other and the audience while performing keeping us all entertained. With Covers of Kehlani ?Gangsta? and Pantera ?Fucking Hostile? keeping the fans on their toes. The set also consisted of brand new single ?Half Black Heart? taken from their latest album Half Black Heart. Hopefully we will see New Years Day again in the UK soon!
