The creative BEX is back in 2024 with a new song called 'sunDae'. 'sunDae'.
"sunDae is about the expectation of having to be and look perfect all the time, even when the world is not. The irony of the constant rainy days in Britain compared to the expectation of perfection that social media has imposed on us as a generation. We're only asking for as much of the weather as the world expects of us. It's a love song about expectation and disappointment. Nobody can achieve unrealistic goals and we all need to stop being so hard on ourselves all the time, social media isn't real."

The exciting, jagged sounds of 'sunDae' encapsulate a hard rock feel, electronic elements and a pure pop sensibility that will have this chorus echoing on stages across the country. The initial idea for the song was actually inspired by a miserable day in Britain and a mutual love of cows between the songwriters involved (BEX, Steven Batelle, Will Vaughan, Sam Cramer and Josh Paine). Cow noises and samples remain and permeate the melody, so stay tuned.
BEX released his explosive debut EP 'SCUM' on the Scruff of the Neck Records label at the end of 2023. The collection features a series of tracks that got the mega talent recognized by BBC Radio 1, Kerrang! and many enthusiastic festival audiences. 'Filfy' (a celebration of individuality and chosen family) was chosen as "Next Wave" on BBC Radio 1's Future Artists show with Jack Saunders. Anti-illusion anthems for a disillusioned generation - 'SPYD4 K1NG', 'Don't Date The Devil', 'Chained Into My Brain' and 'Trust No One' - are also on the track list.
BEX's creativity transcends music itself, infiltrating all aspects of his life and art. Her work can be seen in diverse and prolific audio, visual and wearable creations. Merchandise items are designed and sewn by BEX herself to be truly unique; she even gave her bass a patched leather jacket! Music videos are conceived and directed by BEX, giving a real insight into her motivations and mind. The stages are adorned with creepy doll toys bought from thrift stores, making even an intimate show seem like it's taking place in BEX's alternate reality.
