Weight, aggressiveness, intensity, cohesion and immediate impact. These are great adjectives to define the sound of Polish band Ekoa's first EP.
When I listened to Rooted into Grudge immediately the balance between absurd weight and melody jumped to my ears, exploring metalcore, groove metal and progressive the quartet manages to create a very high identity of its own and bringing a brutal modernity to the game. Ekoa is a band to keep close to your eyes.
