?Get It Off My Chest? é construída em cima de um riff poderoso e angular, em um cenário de hard rock que lembra tanto Alter Bridge quanto Flyleaf, com uma pitada de In This Moment. A música conta uma história verdadeira de erros cometidos ao tentar evitar uma situação traumática, com letras profundamente pessoais e brutalmente honestas de Marisa.

Marisa says:

?Get It Off My Chest? explora ceder à tentação como uma forma de escape. Inspirada por uma experiência pessoal, eu procurei refúgio do drama e do sofrimento, mas de alguma forma os problemas ainda me encontraram (talvez até mesmo buscando-os inconscientemente?).

?A música também é uma contradição: enquanto reflete sobre ações lamentáveis tomadas em momentos de fraqueza, também celebra esses impulsos e erros. Eles são parte de ser humano, ensinando lições valiosas e nos guiando para novas experiências e conexões. Eles podem até nos ajudar a nos afastar de influências negativas que não nos servem mais.?
