Ungoliath - Whispers of the Gale | Lanmentos

The German band Ungoliath just released their first studio album "Whispers of the Gale" on January 12th.

After their acclaimed debut EP ?Until the Ice Freezes Your Soul? Ungoliath are back stronger than ever, presenting seven tracks in just over 40 minutes of a mature, cohesive sound that blends black metal and doom metal very well, in a heavy, raw and dense sound combined with brutal, aggressive vocals and cold, harsh riffs.

Highlights include the first two singles from the album, Echoes Unveiled, which makes it snow in the summer, and Ephemeral Earth, with its dark layer that is a must for any fan of extreme metal. Whispers of the Gale is certainly the premature consolidation of a band that manages to deliver a lot on its debut album.
