Spirits of Fire - Embrace The Unknown (2022)

Spirits of Fire is a supergroup consisting of a top-notch lineup, starting with Savatage and Trans-Siberian Orchestra guitarist Chris Caffery, Megadeth bassist Steve Di Giorgio (ex-Death, ex-Iced Earth), and former Fates Warning drummer Mark Zonder. Tim "Ripper" Owens, ex-Judas Priest and Iced Earth, was a founding member of the band before leaving in 2021, being replaced by Italian Fabio Lione (Angra, Turilli / Lione Rhapsody, ex-Rhapsody of Fire).
This year the band released their second album, Embrace The Unknown on Frontiers Records.
Focusing its sound in the absolute classic Heavy Metal, naturally the quality of the musicians involved stands out from the beginning to the end, but this is not enough to leave a mark or to thrill, although one or another track excites more, the album accomplishes its mission well, entertains and entertains. Particularly I am a fan of the work Frontiers has been doing with these reunions of established musicians, although the use is mostly satisfactory some projects can sometimes sound generic, nor I say that this is the case of Spirits Of Fire that delivers here a good Heavy Metal album, but certainly it will not be a work that I will remember in December 2022.
Embrace The Unknown fulfills its mission, is captivating, fun and brings a Fabio Lione in great phase, it is worth for the high level selection that is the Spirits Of Fire.
