Saxon - Carpe Diem

It is already a wet dream to say that Saxon is one of the most underrated bands in the history of Heavy Metal, but regardless of the reason it is true to say that Saxon is also one of the greatest bands that have passed through this planet and to be able to listen to new material from the English is an honor and privilege. Carpe Diem, the band's twenty-third album has just come out and keeps untouchable everything that Saxon has accustomed us to in these more than forty years on the road.
Produced by Andy Sneap and vocalist Biff Byford the album features ten songs that follow the same line since Sacrifice released in 2013, powerful riffs give the card here, Paul Quinn and Doug Scarratt are the great highlight opening the box of riffs and solos very well elaborated, accompanied by the eternal front man Biff Byford who shows that he is in great shape after the heart problems he faced.
Intense and catchy Carpem Diem is further proof that Saxon remains one of the active flagships of the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM).
