What to expect from Bludfest year 2!

After the success of Yungblud‘s first Bludfest last year, one of the UK’s most exciting new alternative festivals is back for year 2! The Line up covers all genres from Rock to Rap to Hyper-pop, ensuring there is something for everyone, all while platforming new up-and-coming artists. Yungblud has confirmed that the few hiccups that came with it being the first year of the festival last year, have all been taken into account and rectified for this year’s event to ensure everyone has the best time with all their needs taken care of. Accessibility is held at the forefront of this festival to make sure everyone has access to alternative music whether that is catering for disabilities or cheaper/ free tickets for those that are in need. Music is for everyone.

As someone who was lucky enough to attend last year, you do not want to miss this! Here’s a guide to familiarise yourself with the artists beforehand, with more to be announced soon!

Yungblud, creator and headliner of Bludfest, is set to create an even more insane set than last year (which included fireworks). After taking a well-earned break this last year to write his new record, he made a big comeback with a 9 minute long single ‘Hello Heaven, Hello’, ushering in the new era. We can expect to hear lots of old fan favourites as well as some new and maybe some unreleased songs!

Chase Atlantic

Australian powerhouse, Chase Atlantic are like no other. With their electric energy and intense performances, they know how to curate the right vibe for the moment and I am sure that their set will be remembered as the performance of the summer for many in attendance. They conjure up dark alternative pop, punctuating these beats with rock and R&B notes and heavy distortion.

Next up, we have JXDN, who is on a journey to make music that makes you feel good while continually proving that music can be used to help heal and that there is always hope for whatever you are going through. You can expect a high energy, highly emotional set packed full of heart-wrenching rock songs from his latest album ‘WHEN THE MUSIC STOPS’ as well as pop-punk anthems from his debut album ‘ Tell Me About Tomorrow’, and maybe even some more upbeat pop songs from his upcoming project.

Blackbear

Blackbear is further proof that you don’t have to stick to one genre, effortlessly mixing rap, pop-punk, Rock, R&B, trap and hip-hop together to create catchy songs. His set is certain to get everyone hyped up whilst simultaneously in their feels and bringing back that ‘Summer 2017’ nostalgia for all the emos in attendance. We are sure to hear fan favourites off his many different projects as well as his collaboration ‘Tongue Tied’ with Yungblud.

Peach PRC

For Peach PRC‘s set you can expect lots of pink as well as choreography with her back-up dancers, while her guitarist, Chloe Dadd, rocks out in the back! It will be a high energy, upbeat performance with acoustic breaks for some sadder songs and even pole dancing breaks. Enabling everyone to live out their manic pixie dreams in the crowd while she delivers soul-crushing lyrics to fun hyper-pop beats.

Rachel Chinouriri

For Rachel Chinouriri‘s set, you can expect lots of crowd interaction and singalongs from her fanbase, especially during ‘All I Ever Asked’ from her debut album ‘What a Devastating Turn of Events’. Her alternative pop music is very wholesome and validating, creating a safe space that brings her fans together through shared experiences and feelings. Having recently supported Sabrina Carpenter on her ‘Short & Sweet Tour’ in Europe and releasing her newest EP ‘Little House’, now is your chance to jump on the Rachel Chinouriri train before she blows up even more!

Song Suggestion: Never Need Me

Luvcat

Luvcat is on a mission to bring mystique back to alternative rock and her theatrical stage presence is helping to tell her story. With only 4 released singles, she’s built a strong fanbase in the last year after blowing up on TikTok and supporting The Last Dinner Party. She then embarked on an almost sold out UK tour and is now about to set off on her first US shows that have also sold out. She is certainly one to watch in the current Rock scene as she continues to make waves.

Song Suggestion: Matador
