Behind the Scenes with Chaos Reigns

Creating music is personal and collaborative, shaped by unique experiences, emotions, and inspirations. In our latest interview, we dive into the world of Chaos Reigns, exploring how they channel chaos into their sound and stories.

A Thoughtful Approach to Songwriting

Billy Padmore shared how his creative process stands apart: “I spend days, weeks, or months listening to what I’ve written to make sure it has potential before bringing it to the band,” he explains. This meticulous approach, paired with contributions from the rest of the band, results in a sound that’s both chaotic and carefully constructed.

Themes That Resonate

The band’s latest EP, Sweet Violence, explores a wide range of themes—love, obsession, greed, and even classic horror. One track, inspired by Freddy Krueger, reflects their ability to draw from unexpected sources. Each song offers something memorable, from intense riffs to surprising musical twists, ensuring their music sticks with listeners.

Overcoming Challenges and Finding Connection

The band also reflects on challenges like self-doubt and imposter syndrome but finds motivation in connecting with fans during live shows. Whether it’s newcomers discovering them through TikTok or dedicated fans travelling to gigs, these moments affirm the impact of their work and drive them forward.

Looking Ahead

With their new EP out and live shows on the horizon, Chaos Reigns is ready to bring Sweet Violence to stages across the UK. Featuring support from bands like Death Goal, their performances promise to be high-energy and unforgettable.
