Bicurious at Rough Trade Bristol, 2024

The Irish post-rock legends return to Rough Trade Bristol for the culmination of the UK leg of their October touring to celebrate their latest album release “Your Life is Now Over…”. This comes after their acclaimed “re-constructed” debut album which landed them success in the scene and debuting at festivals such as Portals and Arcantangent. The latter where they have become fan favourites. Brought along with them is fellow Irish counterpart “jazz punk” outfit Vernon Jane and support from a-tota-so and essential formulas. Bicurious proves again that they can command the room through chaotic fun and get the entire room moving, shaking and moshing. During the show, the band played an amalgamation of fan favourites such as “Fake News” and “I Don’t Do Drugs, I Just Sweat a Lot” as well as a newer track from their latest release “Uncle Kevin” and “Coming Around” showcasing the bands’ new exploration into vocal melodies and new sonic horizons, proving to everyone that they’re an ever involving, always fun-loving band.
