Body Count at O2 Forum Kentish Town, London

The evening kicked off with Slope, a rising force in the hardcore scene. Their high-energy performance set the stage perfectly for what was to come, riling up the crowd and getting everyone in the mood for a night of intense music.

As the lights dimmed and the first notes of ‘Body Count’s in the House’ echoed through the O2 Forum Kentish Town, it was clear that the night would be unforgettable. Body Count, led by the legendary Ice-T, stormed the stage with the ferocity and charisma that has made them icons in the hardcore genre.

From the moment they launched into their set, the energy in the venue was electric. The band seamlessly blended their classic hits with powerful covers, creating a setlist that was both nostalgic and fresh. Highlights included a blistering cover of Slayer’s ‘Raining Blood / Postmortem,’ and their hard-hitting tracks like ‘No Lives Matter’ and ‘Talk Shit, Get Shot.’

The crowd was in a frenzy from start to finish, with beers flying and mosh pits erupting at every turn. The atmosphere was a chaotic celebration of hardcore music, with crowd surfers riding the wave of energy and Ice-T commanding the stage with his signature intensity.

As the set progressed, the band showed no signs of slowing down. They ripped through tracks like ‘Manslaughter’ and ‘Necessary Evil,’ before diving into a raucous cover of The Exploited’s ‘War / UK 82 / Disorder.’ Each song was met with a wave of cheers and fists in the air, as fans fed off the band’s relentless energy.

The encore was a perfect cap to the night, with ‘Born Dead’ and ‘This Is Why We Ride’ leading into a surprising yet powerful cover of Pink Floyd’s ‘Comfortably Numb.’ This final song showcased the band’s versatility and ability to blend genres, leaving the crowd in awe as the final notes rang out.

Body Count’s performance at the O2 Forum Kentish Town was a testament to their enduring legacy and the unbreakable bond between the band and their fans. It was a night of pure, unadulterated hardcore music that will be remembered by all who were lucky enough to be there.
