Grey Daze Celebrates Chester Bennington’s Legacy in UK return at The Garage, London

Photos and review by: Grey Rhis de Montmorency

Grey Daze, a rock band from Arizona, USA, with a remarkable 30-year legacy, formed in 1993 by drummer Sean Dowdell and the legendary Chester Bennington, who later became a global icon with Linkin Park.

Their first-ever UK tour in May 2024, supported by High Regard and Death Atlas, marks a significant milestone in the band’s career.

Despite the absence of their bass player, who had to withdraw from the tour at the last minute, Grey Daze’s performance still delivered. The band’s sound, energy, and stage presence radiated through the venue.

MetalJunkbox had the opportunity to be invited to cover and photograph Grey Daze’s final UK tour date on the 18th of May, 2024, at The Garage in London. The venue was electrified by their powerful performance, a fitting tribute to Chester Bennington’s enduring legacy and the band’s unwavering spirit.

Born in Brazil and living in London, I co-founded and manage the UK and US sides of MetalJunkbox, specialising in concert photography, and promoting live events and launches by various artists. I’ve been a photographer since 2016 and I also act as the nerd of the team, taking care of the technical side of the project, and on top of all that, having the worst taste of the trio (or better)!
