Parkway Drive: Tuska Festival 2024

The grand finale of TUSKA brought Parkway Drive to the stage, marking my first-ever experience witnessing their electrifying performance live. Having studied their previous shows in preparation, I was more than ready to capture every moment through my lens, and I’m pleased to say I got all the shots I could have hoped for.

Parkway Drive, hailing from Byron Bay, Australia, has been a powerhouse in the metalcore scene since its formation in 2003. Renowned for their intense and powerful sound, the band delivers a visceral experience with aggressive riffs, dynamic drumming, and raw, emotive vocals. Their music dives deep into themes of personal struggle, societal issues, and resilience, striking a chord with fans worldwide.

Throughout their career, Parkway Drive has consistently released critically acclaimed albums, each contributing to their stellar reputation and solidifying their position as a leading force in modern metal. Their high-energy performances and relentless touring schedule have earned them a dedicated following, making them highly anticipated headliners at festivals like TUSKA.

As the festival drew to a close with Parkway Drive’s thunderous set, it was a fitting conclusion to an exhilarating weekend filled with diverse acts and unforgettable moments in the heart of Helsinki’s metal scene.

TUSKA Festival will be back next year in the same place at Suvilahti, Helsinki.
