State Champs Live at London O2 Forum Kentish Town

Pop-punk shows always bring the energy, but State Champs’ performance at the O2 Forum Kentish Town took things to another level. From the first act to the final confetti blast, the night was amazing with high-energy performances, crowd-surfing chaos and a real sense of community.

Broadside

While I didn’t get the chance to capture Broadside on camera, I managed to catch their last couple of songs and wow, what a performance. The crowd went absolutely wild, treating them like they were the main act. It’s not often I’ve see an opening band command that level of energy, but Broadside clearly knew how to work the room.

The Home Team

Next up was The Home Team, and these guys did not hold back. Their stage presence was electric. I’ve never seen someone pull off that many spins while still playing guitar! Every member brought an infectious energy that made them a breath of fresh air to capture through the lens.

State Champs

State Champs came out with a bang, literally with confetti cannons exploding from the get-go. As a photographer, getting to experience that moment so early in the set was a rare treat! Usually, confetti is saved for the grand finale, which State Champs also had! But this was just the beginning of an all-out pop-punk party.

They delivered a stacked set filled with fan favorites and the crowd responded in full force. So many crowd surfers came flying over the barricade, yet the venue’s security handled it flawlessly. Hats off to the O2 Forum Kentish Town crew, many photographers have to leave the pit after just one song due to the sheer volume of crowd surfers, but here, we were able to capture State Champs in all their chaotic glory without being forced to retreat too soon.

But beyond the music, beyond the crowd surfers and confetti, what made the night so special was the atmosphere. Everywhere I looked people were smiling, lost in the music and singing every word like it was the most important thing in the world. It was a night where nothing else mattered, just the music.

From start to finish this show felt like a celebration of music, movement, and the incredible bond between bands and their fans.  State Champs, Broadside, and Homeland all brought their A-game, making it an awesome evening to remember.
