The Home Team – The Underworld, London 2024

On a cold December evening in Camden, down in the basement of The Underworld. The Home Team are about to take to the stage of their first-ever sold-out UK headline show with support from Andrés and TheCityIsOurs.

Opening the evening are Andrés – a three-piece of high-vibe rock. A true warm-up band for the evening and really got the crowd engaged too with the ear-worm riffs.

Next up was TheCityIsOurs – London-based melodic metalcore 5-piece that has been making waves in the alternative rock and metal scene for a while now. Amazing vocals from Oli paired with the melodic riffs and drum blasts throughout the entire set, really set the pace of the night and warmed up the crowd The Home Team.

The Home Team

Onto the main event, Seattle’s finest pop-punk band The Home Team. It’s safe to say the crowd were very much ready for this, having released The Crucible of Life earlier this year, opening up their set with the ever-catchy ‘Brag’Huge vocals from Brian and catchy riffs from John with Ryne on bass. Dan always leads the pack with his incredibly punchy drumming. Throughout the set they played songs from ‘Slow Bloom’ including the crowd favourite ‘Watching All Your Friends Get Rich’ – Brian, Ryne and John all donning their best dance moves and insanely good crowd interaction– not to forget Dan too.

Anyone looking from the outside can see why The Home Team are such a huge ray of sunshine in the pop-punk scene, four amazingly talented best friends just casually selling out one of the most well-known venues from across the pond.
