On this wet Wednesday evening, Wednesday 13, performing Murderdolls, will take over Manchester Club Academy. Support will come from South of Salem for this extra special spooky evening.
South Of Salem from Bournemouth, UK is kicking off this evening’s show. The five-piece performs with high energy and such a fun show! Starting the show with ‘Let Us Pray’ gets the audience moving and dancing along. The stage presence of South Of Salem is shown through the band’s Simultaneous movements of playing together not a second goes by where they aren’t performing for the audience or each other. ‘Hellbound Heart’ and ‘Cold Day In Hell’ are also on the show’s setlist. It was such an amazing experience to see South Of Salem perform you can see the passion they have to perform, The stage setup of South Of Salem is also so incredible and perfectly matches the band’s look.
The crowd is covered in darkness, with the glowing red LED lights of the drum kit just shining in the darkness. The excited fans chat amongst themselves as the stage comes to life cheering and screaming as the band members come on one by one. As soon as Wednesday hits the stage fans on the barriers scream as the stage comes to full life you can even hear some fans repeating ‘OH MY GOD’ over and over again in pure excitement. Wednesday 13th kick-off their set with ‘Chappel Of Blood’ and the crowd goes wild screaming back every lyric to the song. The Incredible vocals of Wednesday fill the Manchester Club Academy Supported by the amazing talent of the band who you can see are having the time of their lives. We are also treated to a range of songs from both Murderdolls and Frankenstein Drag Queens From Planet 13
Throughout the evening Wednesday Guides us through the years telling us stories of how the Murderdolls became with the phone calls Joey Jordison (Murderdolls/Slipknot) which kick-started his adventures with the band and how they came to be. Stories of how the band grew and went out on tour with Iron Maiden how the audience hated them and seeing a wall of middle fingers with ‘People Hate Me’ and the reminders of the days of Top Of The Tops. The reminders of the good times that the Murderdolls had and the memories that the band and audience hold together. We are also treated to a cover of Billy Idol’s ‘White Wedding’ and ‘Pieces Of You’.
The night was an incredible experience to be close and be made to feel like part of the Wednesday 13th family, All the tiny elements of this show keep you entertained and feel so homely and like you were old friends having a chat. The crowd had incredible energy and kept the gig moving while interacting and feeding the energy for the rest of the evening.
