While Frankie and the Witch Fingers are hard at work touring Europe (catch them tonight at Wide Awake Festival in London!), “Gutter Priestess” has come out, available to stream everywhere. This is the last single before the release of their new album Trash Classic (out on June 6, 2025, from The Reverberation Appreciation Society and Greenway Records).
Keeping with their tradition of pushing traditional promo methods to the brink, instead of a music videos, they have partnered with FolksPat Media to release a fully-playable “Gutter Priestess” video game – you can check it out HERE. It’s free-to-play, available on browser and comes to you from the team with contribution to such AAA project like Alien: Rogue Incursion, Creed: Rise to Glory VR, Dead by Daylight, Lord of the Rings: War in the North, and more.
Dylan Sizemore describers the song’s creation process thus:
Gutter Priestess’ felt filthy from the get. I was hooked up to Burroughs and his junk-sick energy, romanticizing my own bad decisions and dark thoughts, cutting up lyrics, letting meaning rearrange itself. When we went to record it, everyone leaned into the crust. The parts feel barbed and sharp – like they crawled out of a drainpipe with glass in their gums.
If you really can’t wait before their album is out, catch them in London at The Shacklewell Arms on Friday, 30th of May, 2025, for an exclusive album release party, followed by a late night DJ set – tickets available on DICE.
