GOD COMPLEX Announce New EP ‘He Watches In Silence’ + Release Video For “Depraved Idol”

GOD COMPLEX have announced their upcoming EP, ‘He Watches In Silence,‘ which will be released on 21st February via SharpTone Records. To coincide with this announcement they have released a video for the new single, “Depraved Idol”.

The band are proud of their new EP and are excited for people to hear it. They decided to do things differently this time; avoiding lengthy pre-production and allowing small variations in the recordings to capture the mess and chaos at the heart of their sound. They wanted to create something more refined and savage than their previous work.

They describe their new EP as a cornered animal: something feral and driven to sustain itself without restraint. This is different to the usual themes of rebirth, and metaphors such as the phoenix or a change of seasons.

The title of their first single, “Depraved Idol,” is inspired by the Green Man, a symbol of renewal. However, the band’s imagining of this symbol is one where renewal can only be attained through suffering and loss.

‘He Watches In Silence’ can be pre-ordered and pre-saved now.

He Watches In Silence Tracklist:

  1. Salt and Ash
  2. Depraved Idol
  3. Ba’al’s Trick
  4. The Judge
  5. Flooded Lungs
