Harvestman, also known as Steve Von Till, is set to release the final part of his three-part album cycle, Triptych, on October 17th via Neurot Recordings to coincide with the Hunter Moon. The album features special guests such as The Bug, Wayne Adams, Sanford Parker, and Al Cisneros.
In anticipation of the release, Harvestman has shared “Herne’s Oak,” a track that showcases the atmospheric and moody soundscapes that define Triptych. Collaborating with Sanford Parker, the track evolved from simple beats and steel tank scraping to a complex and haunting mix that captures a unique ancestral resonance.
“‘Herne’s Oak’ is the third track Dave French and I composed on the old torn open steel water tank I accidentally destroyed with my snow plow a few winters back. What began as a few simple beats accompanied by scraping the steel tank with deer antlers morphed into something entirely different and infinitely more atmospheric once we handed it over to our friend, Sanford Parker.”
