LACUNA COIL Announces New Album ‘Sleepless Empire’ and Releases ‘Oxygen’ Music Video

Italian metal powerhouse LACUNA COIL is set to release its 10th studio album, ‘Sleepless Empire,’ on February 14, 2025, through Century Media Records. This marks their first album of new material since 2019’s ‘Black Anima,’ they have unveiled the lead single ‘Oxygen’ along with a captivating music video featuring lead vocalist Cristina Scabbia.

‘Sleepless Empire’ is a result of the band’s inspiration during the Comalies XX sessions and was written and recorded in northern Italy.

  • Guest Appearances: The album features guest vocalists Randy Blythe from Lamb of God on ‘Hosting the Shadow’ and Ash Costello from New Year’s Day on ‘In The Mean Time.’
  • Unique Offering: In a nod to their love for gaming, LACUNA COIL has included an oracle “game” with custom dice in the box set version of ‘Sleepless Empire.’

In the music video for ‘Oxygen,’ Cristina Scabbia explores themes of emotional turmoil and inner conflict, symbolized by drowning in a toxic environment. The song is an anthem of vulnerability and resilience, reflecting the struggle to break free from oppressive forces.
