The Devil Wears Prada releases a brand new single "For You" | New Releases

American metalcore band The Devil Wears Prada presented an emotional brand new single, “For You”. This release is the band’s first tune since 2024’s acoustic EP called Chemical. Celebrating their 20^th year on the metalcore stage, Dayton, Ohio natives offered a truly anthemic and emotional piece of music.

“For You” is a touching song about hopeless love that cannot be helped. In the band’s own words:

“A love story unravelling through the eyes of someone hopelessly devoted to a partner who can never truly give back. It’s the sound of desperation meeting blind loyalty — a crushing, cinematic anthem for the heartbroken”

Listening to this single, it genuinely feels like the main subject hurts, feels helpless despite the need to be the saviour. Jeremy De Poyster’s emotional, sung vocal performance elevates it, and it’s being led by spacious, hymnic instrumentals for most of the single. “For You” hits even stronger when the screaming vocalist – Mike Hranica – joins in classic, metalcore guitar and drum style breakdown to further emphasise the deeper pain behind the song. While this is a softer sound for The Devil Wears Prada’s past music, it still feels genuine, natural and relatively fresh. The overall feel is making it truly enjoyable, but also sympathetic to the subjects of this song.

Additionally, in support of this single, Americans released a vibrant music video directed by Wyatt Clough. Surrounded by the serene atmosphere of natural elements as well asa pink background, the band performs alongside a dancer, Kelly Shaw, who is showcased as a dark spirit in the environment.

Generally speaking, “For You” is a pleasant, moving and interesting song. A lot of people can relate to being in various relationships in which the future can be without perspective for the long-term future. While sometimes it can be painful and hard to be in such situation, There is always sunshine after a storm.
