The Offspring Releases New Single “Light It Up” from Upcoming Album

The Offspring, the iconic rock band, has dropped a new single titled “Light It Up” from their much-anticipated album “SUPERCHARGED,” set to be released on October 11, 2024, via Concord Records. The track is a high-energy anthem that embodies the spirit of rebellion and empowerment.

The song is a powerful statement of defiance and determination, reflecting the band’s punk rock roots.

Lead vocalist Dexter Holland describes the track as a relentless powerhouse, expressing the frustration and readiness for action felt by the protagonist in the song. The lyrics convey a sense of standing up against adversity and taking charge of one’s destiny, a theme that resonates with the band’s ethos.

The Offspring’s previous release, “Make It All Right,” has already made waves on the Billboard Alternative and Mainstream Rock Charts, showcasing the band’s enduring appeal and musical prowess. The accompanying animated music video for the song captures the essence of companionship and support, highlighting the importance of having someone by your side through thick and thin.

In a remarkable achievement, The Offspring’s hit single “You’re Gonna Go Far, Kid” has surpassed one billion streams on Spotify, earning a spot in the prestigious Billions Club. This milestone solidifies the band’s legacy and influence in the music industry, placing them among esteemed peers and icons.

The band recently collaborated with Queen’s Brian May for a special performance at the Starmus Festival, where they delivered electrifying renditions of their respective hits. The synergy between the two acts created a memorable musical experience for fans and showcased the timeless appeal of rock music.
