AMORPHIS ANNOUNCE HUGELY ANTICIPATED NEW ALBUM "BORDERLAND" & EXCITING DATE FOR 1ST NEW SINGLE | News

Finnish metal heavyweights Amorphis have announced their return to the ever changing metal landscape that is 2025, ahead of their upcoming tour this autumn.

Mear weeks before head out on the road with what will be one of the lineups of the year, Amorphis will be releasing their highly-anticipated 15th studio album, Borderland, out September 26, 2025 via Reigning Phoenix Music.

Esa Holopainen said as part of the announcement ““Borderland” is the first AMORPHIS album produced in collaboration with Danish producer Jacob Hansen. Before that, we had made three amazing records at Jens Bogren’s studio. During the planning phase of the project, we strongly felt that it was time to explore something new and see what working with a different producer might bring to the table!”

Fans won’t have to wait long to hear what’s coming — the first single, ‘Light And Shadow’, drops June 6, 2025.

As mentioned, almost immediately following the release of Borderland, Amorphis are set to embark on the massive Blood Dynasty 2025 Tour across the UK and Europe. Across almost 30 dates, Amorphis will be sharing the bill with none other than Arch Enemy, Eluveitie, and Gatecreeper. The band will hit arenas in 15 countries — including a trio of UK dates this October and November.
