BLOODYWOOD are set to release their new album Nu Delhi on 21st March via Fearless Records. To celebrate, the band has shared a video for their new single ‘Tadka‘, a metal tribute to Indian food.
‘Tadka’ is a gritty and groove metal anthem that combines traditional instrumentation with a nu-metal punch. The song features monster truck-sized riffs and hell-bound screaming, paired with classic sounds that reflect the band’s culture. The word ‘Tadka’ refers to a cooking process in Indian cuisine where spices are heated in hot oil or ghee to create a more aromatic flavour. The band says ‘Tadka’ is about going the extra mile in the pursuit of a greater flavour.
The song highlights the chaos of Indian kitchens, where centuries-old recipes are executed daily, and the joy that food brings to people. It’s a love story that connects the entire nation, from fine dining restaurants to roadside stalls. The band wanted to share this joy, so they created ‘Tadka’.
‘Tadka’ follows the video for ‘Bekhauf‘, the band’s collaboration with BABYMETAL. BLOODYWOOD will spend most of 2025 on tour, with UK tour dates announced, including stops in Birmingham, Glasgow, Manchester, Bristol, and London. More dates, including a US tour, are planned for 2025.
The band’s upcoming album Nu Delhi features eight tracks, including ‘Halla Bol’, ‘Hutt’, ‘Dhadak’, ‘Bekhauf’, ‘Kismat’, ‘Daggebaaz’, ‘Tadka’, and ‘Nu Delhi’. BLOODYWOOD’s music is a hard-hitting yet modern folk metal sound that has gained attention worldwide.
BLOODYWOOD first gained attention with their YouTube channel, where they posted videos of their music. They released their debut album Rakshak in 2022, which earned them a nomination for Best International Breakthrough Artist at the Heavy Music Awards. The band has performed at major festivals like Lollapalooza India, Download Festival, and Hellfest, and has a growing global following.
