Desertfest 2025: Splitting Riffs and Stages with Final Lineup Drop

London’s premier underground heavy music festival, Desertfest 2025, has unveiled its final lineup additions alongside the much-anticipated stage splits, giving fans a first look at where each crushing act will bring the heaviness. This year’s edition cements Desertfest’s reputation as the ultimate celebration of doom, sludge, stoner, and experimental underground music, delivering all killer, no filler with a lineup that spans the full spectrum of heavy.

Monumental New Additions

Divide & Dissolve – The Melbourne-based distortion duo will shake the very foundations of Sunday’s Electric Ballroom with their earth-rattling soundscapes, blending doom, drone, and avant-garde noise into an immersive sonic force.

Konvent – The Danish death-doom titans will open up Saturday’s Roundhouse with their crushingly heavy riffs and suffocating atmosphere, setting the tone for a brutal day of doom and gloom.

OvO – Italy’s genre-defying experimental duo will bring their sinister, otherworldly noise to The Underworld on Friday, pushing the boundaries of extreme music with their raw and unpredictable performance.

Hexis & Årabrot – Celebrating their 15th anniversary, blackened sludge veterans Hexis will tear into London with their relentless sonic assault, sharing the stage with Norway’s noise-rock outlanders Årabrot, delivering an unhinged and electrifying co-headline set.

Sea Bastard – The Brighton doom metal beasts make their long-overdue return to Desertfest after a decade, promising a monolithic set of soul-crushing riffs.

Famyne – Canterbury’s doom disciples will bring their haunting melodies and thunderous heaviness to The Black Heart, closing out the venue with an unrelenting wall of sound.

Stage Splits Revealed

Desertfest 2025 has officially released its stage breakdowns, giving fans a roadmap for the weekend’s sonic devastation. Each venue will showcase a distinct side of heavy music, from sludge-drenched riff worship at The Roundhouse to underground punk energy at The Black Heart.

The Electric Ballroom will host some of the festival’s biggest and most atmospheric acts, including Divide & Dissolve’s immersive walls of sound. The Roundhouse will be the epicenter of doom and extreme metal, setting the stage for Konvent’s crushing performance. Meanwhile, The Underworld will be home to unhinged experimentalism, with OvO and Hexis pushing the boundaries of sound.

Whether it’s psych-tinged doom, bone-rattling sludge, or raw punk fury, Desertfest 2025 delivers a perfectly curated experience, allowing fans to explore every corner of underground heavy music.

More Underground Fury Awaits

Joining the bill are a host of devastatingly heavy acts, including:

  • Calligram – Blackened hardcore fury with an unrelenting sonic attack
  • Wallowing – Sci-fi infused sludge chaos from the UK underground
  • Yur Mum – High-energy Brazilian punk rock rebellion
  • Bile Caster – Crushing sludge and doom filth
  • Outback – Stoner-laced heaviness to rattle the rafters
