Kids In Glass Houses Announce 15th Anniversary Tour for DIRT

After headlining Download Festival this past weekend, Kids In Glass Houses have announced a special U.K. tour this December to celebrate 15 years of their album DIRT.

Released in 2010, DIRT marked a major turning point for the Welsh five-piece. Produced by Jason Perry, the album brought arena-sized choruses and a polished pop-rock sound that helped the band break through to a wider audience. Tracks like Matters At All and Undercover Lover (featuring Frankie from The Saturdays) became radio favourites and were heavily featured across stations like BBC Radio 1, while also receiving strong press support from outlets such as Kerrang! and NME.

For this upcoming tour, the band will play DIRT in full at every show.

“After the amazing response to the Smart Casual anniversary tour and finally releasing Pink Flamingo, we’re stoked to get back out there for the DIRT shows,” said frontman Aled Phillips. “That album was a real turning point for us, and it means a lot to celebrate it with the people who’ve supported us all along. It’s going to be a special one.”

The band made their live return in 2023 to mark the 15th anniversary of their debut album Smart Casual, following a run of festival shows and a sold-out headline tour in October. A remixed and remastered version of Smart Casual was also released.

“Our shows have always felt like a community of like-minded individuals coming together,” Aled said. “It was beautiful to see everyone again after so many years. They’re probably my favourite shows we’ve ever done.”

While rehearsing for the reunion, the band started writing new music again. That led to Pink Flamingo, their first new album in 11 years, released in 2024. The band leaned into a wider range of influences on the record, including Prince, Bloc Party, The Strokes, and early 2000s emo.
