Album Reviews and releases

Bloodywood
Nu Delhi

We’ve been big fans of Bloodywood since we first saw them live in London a couple of years ago, and they’re back with their new album “Nu Delhi”, which will be released on the 21st of March via Fearless Records.

We had the opportunity to have an early listen, and to sum it up, it’s one more proof on how the band can honor their origins while bringing something new to a genre that still faces complaints from audiences saying “there’s no more creativity in Metal”.

The album starts strongly with “Hala Boy”, with traditional folk chants and instruments, and quickly builds into a very heavy track, that is not shy of mixing traditional instruments, heavy riffs and even some electronic elements.

Buster Shuffle
Together

Buster Shuffle’s latest album called Together, is a refreshing burst of energy that feels like a joyful nod to ska legends Madness. From the first track, it’s clear that the band draws inspiration from the iconic British sound, blending upbeat rhythms, catchy melodies and a playful spirit that’s hard to resist. It’s an album that radiates feel-good vibes and makes you want to move.

Standout tracks include “Master Plan,” which delivers a foot-tapping beat and unmistakable Madness-style energy and “Waiting for You,” a track that practically demands you get up and dance when the drums and cymbals kick in. “Knocking at 112” is another highlight, packed with infectious hooks and a fun, carefree vibe.

The album balances upbeat ska rhythms with thoughtful songwriting, keeping things fresh without losing its sense of fun. Tracks like “Shows How Little You Know” and “I Don’t Mind What

Cabal
Everything Rots

CABAL have released their 4th studio album, Everything Rots, promising the most ferocious sound from the band to date. Blending their signature deathcore riffs with ear-piercing electronic elements, unsettling soundscapes and uncompromising breakdowns, you can expect nothing but bone-crushing heaviness, as the lyrics are just as dark and direct as the music itself.

Alongside this comes the release of the video for ‘Snake Tongues’, the last single from this album, which perfectly represents what you can expect from the rest of the album.

Live Reviews

March was a packed month of gigs around the UK, with a wide range of genres for all tastes, from the grindcore/extreme metal of Napalm Death, the pop and electronic-infused rock/metal of RØRY and Lake Malice or South Arcade, the brat punk of Delilah Bon, the progressive of Opeth and Animals as Leaders, and much much more.
