Metallica Takes Over Fortnite

Metallica, the iconic rock band known for their intense live performances, is breaking new ground by becoming the first band to dominate all aspects of the popular game Fortnite. Starting on June 13, Metallica-themed gameplay will be featured in various Fortnite experiences, including Fortnite Festival, Battle Royale, LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and more.

But the excitement doesn’t stop there. On June 22 and June 23, players will have the exclusive opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of Metallica with “Metallica: Fuel. Fire. Fury.” This brand-new playable concert, developed using Unreal Editor for Fortnite by technology studio Magnopus, will showcase six of Metallica’s most beloved songs in a unique gaming experience that mirrors the energy of a live Metallica show.

Fans can catch Metallica’s James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Kirk Hammett, and Robert Trujillo in action during Fortnite Festival Season 4, where they can rock out to classics like “Enter Sandman,” “Ride the Lightning,” and “Master of Puppets.” Additionally, the new season introduces the Battle Stage, a competitive rhythm music game mode that will continue even after the Metallica collaboration ends.

In the Battle Stage, 16 players will compete using the same setlist, with only one emerging victorious. The Metallica-themed gameplay extends to other Fortnite games like Battle Royale, LEGO Fortnite, and Rocket Racing, offering fans a variety of ways to engage with the band’s music within the Fortnite universe.

Season 4 kicks off tomorrow and runs until August 16, 2024, giving players plenty of time to join in on the Metallica fun. To learn more about Season 4 and the Battle Stage, visit the Fortnite Festival blog.
