Shavo Odidjian’s new project Seven Hours After Violet announces debut album

Seven Hours After Violet, a new heavy metal band fronted by Shavo Odadjian, the bassist of the band System of A Down, has exciting news to share. Their self-titled debut album is set to be released on October 11th through Sumerian Records’ label, 1336 Records. Alongside this announcement, the band has dropped their mesmerizing second single, ‘Radiance’, now available on all major streaming platforms, accompanied by the great video below:

This project, Seven Hours After Violet, led by Shavo Odadjian, features a stellar lineup including Taylor Barber (Left To Suffer), Morgoth (producer and guitarist of Winds of Plague), Alejandro Aranda (Scarypoolparty, American Idol), and Josh Johnson (Winds of Plague). The band made a powerful entrance in June with their debut single ‘Paradise’, receiving high praise from fans and critics alike. Speaking on the upcoming album release, Shavo expresses his creative journey and excitement for the project.

“This album represents years of creative exploration. With Seven Hours After Violet, I aimed to revisit my heavy music roots while introducing something entirely fresh. ‘Radiance’ and its precursor, ‘Paradise’, offer a glimpse into the intensity, musical diversity, and emotion that define this album. We are eager for everyone to experience it fully and witness these songs come to life on stage at our debut performance at Mayhem Fest.”

Seven Hours After Violet will showcase their music live for the first time at this year’s Mayhem Fest on October 12th at the Glen Helen Amphitheatre in San Bernardino. For tickets and more details, visit mayhemfest.com.
