When twenty one pilots are about to announce something…there will be signs. These are always unexpected, cryptic and filled with the fans wild guesses.
It’s been an intense week for the fans and those who follow the Twenty One Pilots “lore” as the band wrap up their last shows in Europe and the UK on their “CLANCY” world tour which started in Denver in August 2024 and the last night was in the o2 London on May 14th 2025.
Expectancies for a huge announcement from the band were high amongst the fans upon noticing Clancy (Tyler) does not take the jacket from the Torchbearer (Josh) on stage during these final shows. If you don’t know what this means I implore you to look up the Twenty One Pilots lore in depth and prepare to be led down an extremely detailed rabbit hole where you will try to decipher hidden meanings as if your life depended on it.
This week also came the announcement of the “Blurryface Reborn” tribute album which marks the 10 year anniversary of hit album “Blurryface” (released May 17th 2015 under the label “Fueled by Ramen”) which includes artists such as “Bambie Thug”, “As December Falls” and more; covering the well known songs.
This week, the bands Instagram profile picture showed the famous “eye” logo opening and not fully closing with the background colours and symbols becoming desaturated. This led to fans calculating the geometrics and symbolism and scrambling to make sense of this and coming up with a series of letters and words through the bands subtle hints. Fans called this officially “The eye theory” and there was a flurry of conspiracies with everyone watching out closely for hints of the impending announcement.
The official album announcement came today on the bands Instagram page by a post at 3pm, alongside a posed photo of Clancy-now famously- not taking the jacket. The post stated “our new full length album Breach will be here in september.”
They also made an announcement for their new single “the first song, The Contract, comes out on June 12th”
Alongside was the message:
“hello Clancy”
“hello Blurryface”
“let’s finish this”

Fans are already trying to decipher the alleged meaning behind the purposefully unchosen capital letters in the post.
Twenty One Pilots are one of the most exciting bands to follow in current times, not just because of their award winning live shows and creative genius when it comes to lyricism and music making but the twists and turns within the lore and the dedication to the worlds, characters and their back stories we follow alongside while listening to their music.
Their albums aren’t just art, they’re expressions from the characters souls. This week has taught us that we can’t even blink with this band or we we may end up missing out on something huge like an announcement or a subtle addition to the lore.
We can’t wait to hear their musical offering of “Breach” and see where the characters go in their world (Trench/Dema and beyond)
