WOLFHEART to Make History as the First European Metal Band to Perform in Saudi Arabia

Finnish melodic death metal pioneers WOLFHEART are poised to etch their name in history as the inaugural European metal band to grace the stage in Saudi Arabia. This groundbreaking performance is scheduled as part of XP Music Futures, the esteemed 3-day music conference in Riyadh. WOLFHEART will infuse their thunderous sound into this significant event, merging powerful melodies with a momentous occasion for the global music community.

“2024 has been a year of adventures, taking us to uncharted territories from Australia to the Balkans and back to familiar grounds across Europe and Scandinavia. The pinnacle of this year will undoubtedly be our unprecedented show in Saudi Arabia, marking a moment of great honour and privilege. The Wolves of the north are ready to bring the winter storm to Riyadh!” –

The performance, slated during XP’s dynamic nightlife segment, signifies a bold new chapter for WOLFHEART as they traverse the globe on their international tour in support of their latest album, Draconian Darkness. Lauded by critics, Draconian Darkness was crafted at Deep Noise Studios, with production, mixing, and mastering by the band’s long-standing collaborator, Saku Moilanen, and artwork by the visionary artist Nikos Stavridakis (VisionBlack).

WOLFHEART’s participation at XP aligns with the conference’s vision to cultivate a flourishing music industry in the region. XP Music Futures serves as a platform for artists, entrepreneurs, designers, and policymakers to unite, innovate, and engage in workshops, dialogues, networking sessions, and electrifying live shows.

“We are immensely proud to introduce WOLFHEART to Saudi Arabia for the first time as the headliner of the Heavy Arabia Showcase at XP Music Futures. WOLFHEART is a cornerstone of melodic death metal in the Nordics, and their presence here marks a significant moment for our local scene. This showcase is not just about a performance; it’s about granting our audience the opportunity to witness one of the genre’s most iconic bands live in their homeland. It’s a celebration of the passion and dedication of Saudi metal enthusiasts, showcasing the progress of the scene. This event is another milestone for metal in Saudi Arabia, and we eagerly anticipate the impact on our community’s future.” – Gigi / Heavy Arabia

With their stage presence and the emotionally charged anthems of Draconian Darkness, WOLFHEART guarantees a performance that will resonate far beyond the venue’s walls. This exceptional show signifies not only a historic moment for WOLFHEART but also a celebration of the evolving music landscape in Saudi Arabia.
