Floral Image Unveil Debut Album ‘Gone Down Meadowland’ – Out April 25th via Fuzz Club

Floral Image, a psych band from Norwich, UK, are set to release their highly anticipated debut album, Gone Down Meadowland, on April 25, 2025, through Fuzz Club.

Today, they’ve shared a new single, Burning 305. It’s a shimmering, psychedelic track that perfectly captures the album’s dreamy vibe.

Singer and guitarist Fergus Nolan explains, “When we hit our stride as a live band, we realized how we could layer melodies over fast, driving rhythms. Burning 305 feels like the older, more refined sibling of Gallipoli. For the video, we wanted something fast-paced and surreal—like a chase through a dream where everything feels familiar but off. The lyrics dig into themes of money, power, and how they can distort reality.”

After a busy touring schedule in 2023, the band took time to reflect and find a sound that truly felt like their own. Inspired by the wide-open landscapes of rural Norfolk, they used Friday night jam sessions and months of writing to create something both powerful and introspective.

They aimed to craft a style of East-Coast psychedelia that reflects the natural beauty and solitude around them. Over 30 songs were written, eventually distilled into 10 tracks that represent their best work. The band recorded the album themselves across the summer of 2024 in barns, basements, and boxrooms around Norfolk.

“We practically lived together during recording—cooking, laughing, and playing Frisbee when we needed a break,” says the band. “We poured everything into this record, and every decision felt like it served the album, not us.”

The result is a vibrant and dynamic record that balances intensity and wonder, capturing the playful camaraderie of band members Fergus Nolan (vocals/guitar), Jack Warner (vocals/keys), Matt Kennedy (bass), Mitch Forsyth (drums/visuals), and Phil Whitton (guitar/visuals).

Produced by the band, mixed by Hugh Fothergill (Volleyball), and mastered by Joseph Carra (KGLW fame), Gone Down Meadowland is their first full-length album.
