Leeds festival is the sister festival to Reading festival and will run from August 21st-24th 2025. Some major headline acts such as Bring Me the Horizon, Chappell Roan and Travis Scott have been announced. This already highly anticipated festival is now even more favored due to their upcoming plans to transform their campsites and inspire the UK festival scene.
They plan on significantly improving camping, creating new festival experiences and providing a wide range of “add-ons” for festival goers. They’re offering, at no extra cost, tailored camping experiences with major transformations and aim to set standards that haven’t been seen in the UK before.
Leeds Festival 2025 promises better and more upgraded toilet and shower facilities. On site, they plan to have ‘GRWM’ (get ready with me) stations with mirrors, dressing tables, adequate seating areas, and plug sockets for hair tools.
This year, they state they have a zero-tolerance behavior policy to anti-social behavior and have additional safety and security measures in place to ensure this.
Each campsite will also boast its decor and characteristics.
Dedicated spaces and campsites we’re most looking forward to experiencing are the following:
The expansion of daytime activities such as football friendlies, pop-up performances, quiet spaces with yoga and meditation and “run clubs” at the start of each festival day.
They’re creating a designated camping area for environmentally friendly festival goers called “The Meadow”. Campers can choose to stay here, but must sign a pledge to respect fellow campers and the environment. There is a no littering policy enforced in this campsite. They aim to separate recyclable materials here and create no extra waste. The campsite will have additional activities and “add-ons” such as sustainability talks, clothes swaps and upcycling workshops.
“The Grove” is a campsite focused on inclusivity and respect, and a place where everyone can safely express themselves. It is a gender inclusive space, and daytime activities here include open mic sessions, film screenings and karaoke.
“The Valley” is a campsite created for people coming to the festival on their own or as a pair. There are services and facilities here such as “Find your pal”, “Meet me here” and “Daily link ups” so solo festival goers can feel supported and included throughout their experience.
Spots can be secured for the unique campsites free of charge on the Ticketmaster.co.uk website.
We’re looking forward to what this year has in store for Leeds festival, musically and socially and believe their strides to improve festival culture are hugely commendable.
Ones to watch at Leeds festival include;
Bring Me the Horizon, who have a huge past connection with Leeds festival take on the mainstage again to headline for 2025 on the Sunday night, closing the festival off on what’s expected to be a mesmerizing high. They have performed at Leeds festival numerous times, and over the years we’ve seen and heard their style change massively. They performed here in their early day,s which wasn’t well received by the crowd as they were ‘standing in’ when Slipknot cancelled. Since then, they have not only redeemed themselves to the crowd but also wowed the crowd with their talents and new musical offerings each year. They’ve progressed and perfected their performance styles with more energy and more stage décor, including impressive pyro added to the mix when they headlined the festival in 2022. They have continued to grow hugely since so we’re excited to see what they have in store for us as headliners in 2025. Their new album “Post Human: Nex Gen” was released in 2024, so new Music and a new set list is in the cards for the performance as well as maybe their newest cover of “WONDERWaLL” originally by Oasis, which would be incredible to hear live. It is due to be one of their few festival performances this year before they’re set to go on a hiatus so this hugely anticipated performance from them is not to be missed.
Chappell Roan- has risen to mainstream fame quickly in our eyes but her career has been a long time in the making. She won a recent Grammy and her speech was dedicated to calling for the Music industry to support their artists better. She is an influencer, advocator and insanely talented. “Pink pony club” sang live should be an unforgettable experience and a special moment for 40,000 people to sing along together. We’re excited to hear her Music live, watch her perform and see her unique sense of style for her headline performance!
Enter Shikari are always a must-see live and should be greatly prioritized at festivals. They bring the most energy to a stage ever. Their performance is always a well-thought-out kind of chaos. They combine electronic and hardcore sounds effortlessly, there will be raving while circle pits are in motion.
There are new musical releases from lots of this year’s acts to be announced, so this year could boast a lot of new set lists and new music performed live.
Plus, there are loads more acts to be announced. Could this be the best Leeds festival line-up yet?
