Pallbearer releases second single 'Endless Place'

Pallbearer has released the second song from his long-awaited new album, Mind Burns Alivescheduled for May 17th by Nuclear Blast Records.

'Endless Place', which features the band's first musical collaboration (a saxophone solo by Norman Williamson of Amasa Hines), encapsulates the thematic essence of the album, as described by vocalist-guitarist Brett Campbell: "They are vignettes that tell the stories of people dealing with countless illnesses of the spirit. These are illnesses communicated by the world we live in, and the subjects are the symptoms of their illness." The dreamlike scenario that unfolds in 'Endless Place', both lyrically and musically, is focused on a sense of being lost, disjointed, trapped by restlessness and confusion.

Pallbearer previously released the video directed by Dan Almasy to 'Where The Light Fades', the lead track of the six-song album that also highlights the emotionally charged themes of the collection.

Five years in the making, with recording initially scheduled for 2020 and postponed again in 2022, it was in 2023 that the band members moved locally to Little Rock for the first time in nine years. As a group, they self-produced the album in their own newly built studio (Idlewild Audio) and in Fellowship Hall Sound. Reflecting on this, the bassist-vocalist Joseph D. Rowland he commented: "It's ironic, given that the album is largely centered on loneliness, but it felt like it summoned us to get together again in one city after so long apart."
